LOXAHATCHEE, FL – The Elizabeth Accomando campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement from Anita Kane, Mayor of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves. Below is a statement from Mayor Kane:
Elizabeth is a true public servant. She considers all sides of an issue and then works creatively and collaboratively to make the best decisions for the safety and well being of her constituents. I have had the privilege of working with her on several inter-local challenges and was impressed by her professionalism and dedication to her community.
I look forward to working on the many pressing issues for the Western communities that face us imminently with new District 6 Commissioner Elizabeth Accomando.
Anita Kane was elected to the Town of Loxahatche Groves Seat 3 in 2024 with 62% of the vote and was appointed Mayor by her colleagues. She previously served on the Loxahatchee Groves Town Council from 2018-2019, Chair of the Town’s Finance Advisory & Audit Committee, and Chair of the Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Mary Baldwin University, and a Master’s degree in teaching from the Institute for Montessori Studies at Trinity College.
